From a Culinary Perspective

In Indian Cuisine, Yogurt is an essential dressing used to cleanse and refresh the palate from strong spices. Due to the fact that Indian food is rich in spices, flavors, and fats, Raita can help subdue the overwhelmed tongue after a few bites. In Western culture, think about a savory and fatty cheeseburger, the acid pickle aids as a palate cleanser so you can keep on eating. Raita works in a very similar fashion; however, the difference is that Raita has fresh, creamy, acid, cold, and saucy characteristics.

The use of Raita is not limited to Indian Cuisine. You can pair it with many of your favorite foods, such as Tacos, Mole, Cheeseburgers, Salads, etc.
